Barbara Ann Wareing
Born 17th August 1949, Glasgow
Barbara, was born in Scotland but under unfortunate
circumstances..
Barbara's mother & father were over in Scotland to attend the funeral
of our granny Mary McArthur, who died on 28th December 1948. A fortnight
later in January 1949 our granda, Donald McArthur died.
Aunt Betty & Jim Wareing decided to stay in Scotland as she was
pregnant, and in August 1949 Barbara was born in Glasgow, Glasgow. |

The family stayed a further 6 months
in Glasgow and then decided to go back to Jersey. |

Barbara
returned to Glasgow in 1968 and lived in Dumbarton and worked at Singers
in Clydebank where she met her husband.
They lived in Reid St with Uncle
Donald and his family for a while
so that they could marry in Martha
Street Registry Office in Glasgow.
My
parents Nessie & James McArthur, were her witnesses, after the
wedding they went for lunch at a nice restaurant.

Barbara
has 4 children Aidan, Jamie, Tamsyn and Scott.
At year 2003 :-
Aidan (born 21 May 1970) lives in Aberdeen with his girlfriend
Jamie (born 8 march 1976) lives in Glasgow with his 2 daughters and his father.
Tamsyn (born 25 March 1980 ) and Scott (born 6 March 1982) live in
Jersey. |
A bonus on my return to Jersey in 2003 was the old family photographs that
Barbara had accumulated,
many of which are now on this website!! |
